Wes Brown is confident that Marcus Rashford will become a great Manchester United player.

The former central defender of the Red Devils said the 21-year-old was so good that he could be compared to George Best, Denis Law, Ryan Giggs and Sir Bobby Charlton.

Brown, 39, was part of the United team winning the triple in 1999.

Now, he thinks Rashford will rival the best ever seen at Old Trafford – provided he's not attracted.

Brown, expressing exclusively for the bookmakers comparison platform, your-promotional-code.co.uk, says that the sky is the limit.

Marcus Rashford has been fantastic this season

Wes Brown says that there are similarities with Ronaldo

"If Rashford stays at Man United for the next ten years, he will become 100% legendary," said former Sunderland man, who still plays in India for Kerala Blasters.

"Anyone who contributes to the team at this level, and if he continues as he plays, will be remembered as a great.

"He was absolutely brilliant when he arrived on the scene and the second season can still be difficult. But now he's hit again and I know he's working very hard and getting his rewards.

Rashford scored a belter against Brighton

"He has good feet, he's fast, strong and started putting the ball in the net, he's getting better and better, which is great for United fans."

Brown says that it's not fair to compare Rashford and Ronaldo – but suggests that they have similar qualities.

"Ronaldo and Rashford are different players, but Rashford's confidence is very high right now," he adds.

"However, he slows the game in the same manner and has the tempo needed to beat the players in the first few meters and get a shot." It's something he's learned along the way and Ole it would have helped to develop it. "

Brown says it will eclipse what Ronaldo did at Old Trafford

He would have added, "I would have liked to confront Rashford when I was younger, it would have been a great battle. But when I was older in Sunderland, it would have been difficult.

"It was like playing against Danny Welbeck, he was running in the cbads and was constantly a threat.

"Both players make it difficult for the defenders, and Rashford's has the feet to do it and beats the defenders in a face-to-face position."
