West Ham made a record bid for Maxi Gomez after agreeing to sell Marko Arnautovic to China.

The Hammers want to use the proceeds from Arnautovic's departure to finance a move by Celta Vigo striker Gomez.

Arnautovic the horse with the shackles of gold, is determined to leave East London this summer after not having done so in January.

West Ham will even accept a "Terrible case" to unload the 30 year old young man that they signed from Stoke for around 20 million pounds in 2017.

Sky Sports has announced a slight increase in this figure, Shanghai SIPG ready to pay £ 22.4 million to sign the Austrian contract

Arnautovic has "pbaded a medical exam this weekend" and the agreement is expected to be announced this week, West Ham having already spent the product.

The same press point says that the Premier League "has proposed to respect" the release clause of Gomez, which stands at 50 million euros (£ 44.85 million).

However, Manuel Pellegrini's players hope to pay the fees in installments, which could be problematic because the La Liga rules stipulate that such clauses can only be activated if they are paid in full.

"Discussions are ongoing" on the distribution of the offer, but it is thought that the player is favorable to a move to West Ham at the expense of potential competitors, Valencia.

The Hammers "are ready to pay twice what the Spaniards offer", with "an agreement on their personal conditions" even reached "in principle".
