Marko Arnautovic left Molineux on crutches after suffering a foot injury during the Wolves' 3-0 defeat of West Ham.
The 29-year-old Austrian striker was replaced in the second half after landing awkwardly on his right leg during an aerial challenge for possession of the ball.
Arnautovic made his first appearance since his substitution for the victory over Arsenal on 12 January.
The attacker had been the subject of a £ 35 million offer from a Chinese club offering salaries of around £ 200,000 a week.
Arnautovic, however, put an end to speculation about his future by signing a contract extension Saturday at the London Stadium.
He now joins a growing list of club injuries after being helped by two of the club's backstage staff, and Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini says he is "disappointed" at being able to stay with only 15 players available.
"It will not be an easy injury," added Pellegrini.
"I hope it's not a problem but we have to see it again with a review. It was a hard kicking and I'm disappointed with that because we're not sure about it." We have only 15 players in shape.
"We do not have a creative midfielder right now, so it's hard to play as many games with the same players."
