We celebrated the 20th anniversary of Manchester United's historic triumph in the Treble, which saw the Sir Alex Ferguson team win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.
After an extraordinary 33-game unbeaten streak, United swept all of its opponents to achieve something that no English club had yet achieved.
With the help of the starting teams for the decisive victory of United in the Champions League final on Bayern Munich at Camp Nou, we tell what happened next to each of the players and what They have accomplished so far.

STARTED IN THE FINAL OF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Peter Schmeichel
The Danish giant was a colossus during the high season, performing a number of important interventions in the 56 matches he played this season.
The penalty kicked out by Dennis Bergkamp in the FA Cup semi-final match with Arsenal is particularly memorable.
The Champions League final, in which he wore the captain's armband in the absence of Roy Keane, proved to be the last for Schmeichel during his move to Sporting Lisbon this summer.
With his natural authority, Schmeichel could have easily stepped into management, but he worked more as a television expert, including for the BBC.
Schmeichel's incursions on television have also included appearances in Strictly Come Dancing and The weakest link… plus a program called The Schmeichel show on the controversial Russia Today network.

Gary Neville
Defender Neville played 54 club games during the Treble campaign and has imposed himself as a reliable figure in United's back row, as he would be for the next 12 years.
Neville only scored seven goals during his career at United, but one of them was the 3-1 home win against Everton at the end of March.
He worked effectively in tandem with his English colleague, David Beckham, on the right flank, often offering support and overlapping pbades.
After his retirement, Neville proved to be one of the most insightful game experts with his work on Sky Sports.
An incursion into management with the Spanish club Valencia was unsuccessful although he was a member of Roy Hodgson's English rearguard team.
Neville is also one of the co-owners of the National League club of Salford City alongside Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Phil Neville and David Beckham.

Ronny Johnsen
Norwegian midfielder Johnsen has played a major role this season by lining up alongside Jaap Stam or compatriot Henning Berg at the heart of United's defense.
In the semifinal against Juventus, he even covered midfield and completed the final alongside Stam.
Johnsen left United in 2002 to retire in 2008. Since then he has worked as an expert for the Norwegian channel TV2 and as one of United's ambbadadors.
He considered taking the leap in management but that did not materialize. Enjoy cross-country skiing during his free time.

Jaap Stam
The great Dutch Stam, who was the most expensive defender of all time, had reached the threshold of 9.6 million pounds the previous summer.
This proved that the money spent was well spent on Stam, who tormented the rivals in the 51 matches he had played, scoring memorable in a 6-2 away win at Leicester, his only goal for the club.
Stam's time at United's ended acrimoniously in 2001 when Ferguson objected to remarks made in his autobiography, selling it to Lazio for £ 16 million.
This was one of the few occasions when Ferguson later admitted to a misjudgment and United was certainly struggling to find some of his coolness and presence.
After hanging up, Stam entered management, first in various coaching roles, then at the English club of the reading club between 2016 and 2018.
In his first season, Stam guided the Royals to the playoff final, before losing unbearably to Huddersfield Town at Wembley.
His second season was less successful and Stam was sacked in March 2018. He is now in charge of the Dutch club Eredivisie, PEC Zwolle.

Denis Irwin
It is not surprising that Ferguson considered Irish left-back Irwin as one of his finest book-to-book recruitments.
United's Dependable has made 529 appearances in 12 years and has won 19 awards with Old Trafford.
He excelled during the high season, bombarding the left flank with the support of Ryan Giggs and taking a number of penalties.
After spending a few years playing Wolves, Irwin has since worked as a presenter on United's MUTV channel as well as an expert on the Irish network RTE.
Also a club ambbadador, this professional and underrated hero remains popular with United fans around the world.

Ryan Giggs
The Welsh wing magician, Giggs, has played 963 games and scored 168 goals for United over a rich 24-year career.
There were many highlights during this period, but many came during the Treble campaign – who will never forget this goal by slaloming against Arsenal in the FA Cup semifinal?
Oddly enough, Ferguson asked Giggs to play on the right side of United's midfielder in the 1999 final as part of a reshuffle that saw Jesper Blomqvist left and Beckham at center.
It was the unfortunate shot of Giggs that Sheringham incumbent on to sweep United's spectacular equalizer at the start of the stoppage.
After his retirement in 2014, Giggs was named acting director of United after the dismissal of David Moyes in 2014, then right hand of Louis van Gaal for two years.
This coaching experience was helpful to him when he was appointed director of the Wales National Team in January 2018.

David Beckham
Beckham has magnificently reacted to his national critics at the 1998 World Cup with a series of outstanding performances during the 1998-99 campaign.
His crossing and pbadage were decisive for United's threat of attack, not to mention his prowess from free kicks.
Becks scored a crucial point against Tottenham to secure the Premier League title on the final day and scored both corners in this spectacular Nou Camp final.
After retiring in 2013, Beckham has certainly been as busy as planned for one of the most recognizable personalities in the world.
Whether it's his charity work for UNICEF, modeling for various lucrative sponsors, various television and film appearances or starting his MLS franchise in Miami, Beckham, who also has a stake in Salford City, has a lot to do.

Nicky Butt
The uncompromising midfielder, Butt played 47 times during the Treble campaign, taking Roy Keane's place in the Champions League final, with the Irishman suspended.
Butt left United for Newcastle in 2004, but is now back in the club as director of the academy.
He had initially returned to the helm of the reserve team in October 2012 before taking up his current duties in February 2016, following the departure of another former player, Brian McClair.
This allows Butt to preserve United's proud record of producing players from their own academy, with Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard two of the latest examples.

Jesper Blomqvist
The Swedish winger was really bought to support Giggs, but he ended up playing enough matches to win a medal for the Premier League winner, before qualifying for the Champions League final.
But the 67 minutes he spent at Camp Nou before being replaced by Teddy Sheringham turned out to be his last for United, injured.
After retiring, Mr. Blomqvist worked as an expert in his country, Sweden, but he now owns a pizza restaurant on the island of Lidingo in Stockholm.
Perhaps the seeds were sown during his long injury, when he presented a show titled "Cooking with Jesper" on MUTV.

Dwight Yorke
Yorke, signed for £ 12.6 million by Aston Villa at the start of the high season, proved to be one of the missing pieces of the United line of attack.
The smiling Tobagonian scored 29 goals in all, forming a murderous partnership with Andrew Cole that allowed United to overcome a number of difficult hurdles.
In retirement from football in 2009, Yorke took his coaching badges and was involved in casual punditry work for Sky Sports. He was Deputy Director of the Trinidad and Tobago National Team in 2009 and 2010.
Things have not been very good for Yorke lately because he was the subject of a petition filed last year by the UK Tax and Customs Administration which he narrowly avoided by paying a tax liability of £ 1.5 million.

Andrew Cole
The other half of this highly effective strike partnership, Cole, found the net 24 times during the Eagles' year, including the winner being lobbed against Tottenham who secured the title of Premier League.
The England international finally left United in 2002 after eight years of success during which he scored 121 goals for the club.
After the match, Cole completed his coaching badges with the help of MK Dons, Huddersfield Town and United.
Cole has suffered health problems in recent years after contracting a virus during a trip to Vietnam as the US Ambbadador in 2015 and required a kidney transplant to save his life in April 2017.
Back in better health, Cole joined the coaching staff of the Ligue 2 club, Macclesfield Town, where his former teammate in England, Sol Campbell, is the manager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
The man whose leg stretched out of camp stop Nou crowned the extraordinary season of Treble in the United States.
Norwegian striker Solskjaer has never regretted playing the role of super-submarine since his arrival at Old Trafford in the summer of 1996.
And while most of his appearances in the campaign ended in failure, Solskjaer scored 18 goals, many of which are absolutely priceless.
This immortal moment in the Champions League final aside, he also scored a winning goal against Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup and four goals in just over 10 minutes over an 8-1 win at Nottingham Forest .
After making sure that he would never again have to buy a pint in the vicinity of Old Trafford, Solskjaer stayed with United until 2007, scoring 126 goals for each. d & # 39; them.
And, as you might have heard, he returned this year in a kind of management position.

Teddy Sheringham
Like Solskjaer, Sheringham found his limited opportunities after Yorke's signing, but, thank God, did it have an impact when he was called to the hearing.
Two minutes before the winner of Solskjaer, it was the English striker who had equalized United's tying goal in Camp Nou.
Sheringham also left the bench to score United's first goal in the FA Cup final against Newcastle United and won the first major trophy of his career at the age of 33.
The fall of Sheringham's career proved to be long, with his 2000-01 record-breaking record of being named Footballer of the Year.
After retiring, Sheringham became a coach after working with the attackers at West Ham, then spent a few months with Stevenage in League Two.
Until early last year, he was responsible for the Indian club ATK Super League in Calcutta.

Raimond van der Gouw
The Dutchman spent six seasons at Old Trafford, first as a pair at Schmeichel, before challenging Mark Bosnich and Mbadimo Taibi for the gloves after he left.
Van der Gouw helped coach United's young goalkeepers during his stay at the club and was an extremely popular figure around Old Trafford.
He played eight times during the Treble campaign, replacing for Schmeichel in the League Cup and when he needed a break in the competition.
Van der Gouw is currently coaching goalkeepers for Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, the club he played for before coming to United.

David May
The defender played a leading role in the celebrations of the United Champions League, although he played no minute in the competition all season.
May did however make a handful of appearances late in the season when Ferguson pivoted the team in the middle of a cluttered match list. One of them was in the FA Cup final victory.
He would remain a small supporter to United until 2003 and finished his player days off the league with Bacup Borough.
May is now commonly seen as a presenter and expert on the club's MUTV channel.

Phil Neville
Another member of the band "Fergie Fledglings" with his brother Gary, Phil Neville had already become the ultimate actor of the public services during the campaign 1998-99.
Much appreciated by Ferguson because of his ability to play anywhere in defense or in the middle of the field, Neville has played regularly this season, although often from the bench.
By the time young brother Neville left for Everton in 2005, he had won six Premier League titles, the FA Cup three times and, of course, the Champions League. Phil has also been crowned 59 times for England.
He is now the manager of the English women's team and one of the co-owners of Salford City along with several other United teammates.

Wes Brown
After making his entry into the United States club at the end of the previous campaign, Brown, a graduate of the academy, was causing a stir and 1998-99 would be a decisive season.
The young man was a natural center, but also played in the back and his first full year at United, which saw 21 matches, could not have gone better.
Brown would remain at the heart of United's back line until 2011, playing a total of 362 games, while representing England.
Last season, 38, Brown played in the Indian Super League for Kerala Blasters, which was coached by former United Rene Meulensteen man. Dimitar Berbatov also played for them.
Brown has not officially hung up, but is working with the Manchester United Foundation.

Jonathan Greening
The midfielder was largely a marginal player in the first team, but still made seven appearances for United during the high season.
Greening picked up the Champions League winner's medal, but then confessed that he "felt a bit like a fraudster" since he had not played a single minute of the European campaign .
But he continued his career at West Brom, Fulham and Nottingham Forest among other clubs.
He can now be heard on radio and podcasts from the BBC and is also responsible for developing players at the York based i2i Soccer Academy.

PLAYERS WHO MISSED THE FINAL
Paul Scholes
Scholes missed the Champions League final due to a suspension after receiving a yellow card in the return match of the semifinal with Juventus, while it was part of the celebrations in his suit club.
This talented midfielder, who played a key role in many of the 51 games played, was a fantastic end to the season for a fantastic season.
Scholes scored the second goal of the England Cup game in the England Cup final against Newcastle United and 11 goals in total throughout the campaign.
He remained a United player until 2013, winning heaps of money with his one and only club and even returning from his retirement to add an 11th title to his collection.
After retiring, Scholes, a discreet and private individual who did not play in the field, turned into a television expert for BT Sport, who enjoyed a high opinion.
But he admitted that he missed the buzz of the game and took over the leadership of the League Two club, Oldham Athletic – which he supported as a boy – before leaving after just 31 days.
Scholes, well dressed and kicked, had the opportunity to raise the trophy alongside Roy Keane in 1999

Roy Keane
Keane produced one of the most selfless performances ever seen on a football field after receiving a yellow card against Juventus, producing a superhuman effort to coach his teammates to the finals.
Captain Keane had been so heroic throughout the Treble. The Irish played 55 of the 63 games of the competition, in all competitions.
Having done so much to keep United in the race for the three prizes, Keane's season has been cut short. He was injured in the FA Cup final and missed the Nou Camp final.

Thomas Linke had a stint as director of football for Ingolstadt in the German second tier
Samuel Kuffour
The only non-German player in Bayern's starting XI that night, Samuel Kuffour had a lengthy playing career before retiring in 2009.
In 2014 he controversially missed out on becoming CEO of Kumasi Assnte Kotoko in Ghana. He had announced on TV that the owner had appointed him to the position, but apparently Otumfuor Osei Tutu II didn't like the early announcement, and went back on the decision.
The Ghanaian defender Samuel Kuffour kept playing football before retiring in 2009
Michael Tarnat
Michael Tarnat's playing career lasted another six years after he left Bayern Munich in 2003. He played a season for Manchester City before playing his final game back in Germany for Hannover.
Nowadays, he's back at Bayern again, this time as the leader of the Under 12 to Under 16 youth teams.
Stefan Effenberg
Midfielder Stefan Effenberg picked up 109 yellow cards in the Bundesliga, an almost ineffable number, and a record for the league.
'The Tiger' retired from playing in 2004, and most recently had a short spell as manager of Paderborn. Unfortunately, he was sacked in March of 2016, and the team went on to be relegated to the third tier of German football at the end of the season. Their fall from grace was short lived though, and now they're back in the top flight for next season.
Stefan Effenberg had to be consoled by referee Pierluigi Collina after their final defeat
Jens Jeremies
United's Champions League win happened in Jens Jeremies' first season for Bayern Munich, and he stayed there until 2006. Constant knee problems meant he only played 20 matches during his last two years, and he retired early at age 32.
He still owns a box at the Allianz Arena, catching games whenever he can when he's not doing work for his children's charity foundation, which he founded in 2001.
Mario Basler
Mario Basler's playing career technically lasted between 1987 and 2013, however the 50-year-old did have a few forays into management in between.
He took charge of a number of teams in the lower divisions in Germany, and is currently sporting director of Lokomotive Leipzig.
He was the one who got Bayern's goal early on in the 1999 Champions League final, and it looked to be the winner until a dramatic final few minutes.
Mario Basler thought he had scored the winning goal until the late drama in stoppage time
Carsten Jancker
Striker Carsten Jancker played football until 2009, and then went into coaching almost immediately, starting at youth level before moving up to badistant manager of Rapid Vienna.
He became head coach of Horn in June 2017, but was fired a little over a year later in November 2018.
Alexander Zickler
Alexander Zinckler spent 12 years at Bayern Munich, and then went to play at Red Bull Salzburg and LASK Linz before retiring.
In April 2019 Zickler joined Borussia Monchengladbach as part of the coaching staff under new boss Marco Rose.
