Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers recently said neither Manchester United nor Manchester City had met the valuation of the Maguire club.

United has already already offered £ 70 million for the English international, but the Fox has rejected it.

It is understood that Leicester wants a world record for the 26 year old player and uses the sale of Virgil van Dijk in Liverpool for 75 million pounds 18 months ago, as a barometer of their price.

Although Maguire recently signed a long-term contract valued at £ 130,000 a week in Leicester, the center-back would have expressed a wish to leave the club.

But according to Rodgers, the defender has not talked too much about the transfer speculations surrounding him.

"He did not say anything," Rodgers said.

"He has just heard with that. He really respects the club regarding his contract and understands that there is an evaluation.

"It's a prominent player – a first-clbad center half and it's going to be coveted and there is a price to pay for that quality."

United's boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, embarked on a redesign of his team this summer and one of the key elements of his plan was to engage more supporters.

The board of directors has already approved the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace for £ 50 million and Solskjaer also wants a world-clbad center.

The Norwegian boss would expect Maguire, who joined the Foxes in 2017 with a £ 17m transfer from Hull City, to play a key role in his new look after Untied conceded 54 league goals last season – its highest total in 40 years.

And Maguire impressed Leicester's boss by his way of behaving during the summer months.

"Harry is relaxed about this and us too," added Rodgers.

"He was absolutely brilliant. I've been in this situation many times and this can be very, very difficult for the players.

"But it's a special guy. He has never shunned – he's just getting started.

"I've been in this situation many times and I've seen how this can affect the players – quite naturally.

"The players want stability. But he showed his true commitment and I take my hat off. "
