Emily Osment’s new TV series hits Netflix on October 8th, and we’re counting down the days until Pretty smart is released. The release date is fast approaching, and we’re thrilled!
The last time we saw Emily on our screens she was playing Roxy Doyle in Almost in family. Sadly, that series has been canceled, but now we can see it in this upcoming Netflix original sitcom.
The role she plays in Pretty smart is different than what we’re used to seeing play, so it’s going to be interesting to see her play a new character.
Pretty smart is a sitcom created by Jack Dolgen and Doug Mand and starring Emily Osment, Olivia Macklin, Cinthya Carmona, Gregg Sulkin and Micheal Hsu Rosen. So what is this sitcom about?
Pretty clever synopsis
The TV series is about a brilliant college graduate named Chelsea, who, after being dumped by her boyfriend, moves in with her spirited younger sister and wacky roommates.
Check out the official synopsis via Netflix below.
After being unexpectedly dumped by her boyfriend, Chelsea (Emily Osment) – an aspiring Harvard-educated intellectual and novelist – is forced to move in with her bubbly, carefree and not-so-intellectual West Coast sister Claire ( Olivia Macklin) and her three adorably eccentric and not-so-intellectual roommates: Grant (Gregg Sulkin), a distractingly beautiful personal trainer, Solana (Cinthya Carmon), a former lawyer turned healer, and Jayden (Michael Hsu Rosen), a media influencer. But Chelsea’s harsh and at times critical exterior begins to soften as she gets to know her new friends, and they begin to form a family they find unlikely.
We provide the official trailer below.
Based on this trailer, we can say that we are going to be laughing throughout the season. There are ten episodes in the first season, so there’s a lot to cover. You can expect the sitcom to land on Netflix at 12:01 am PT / 3:01 am ET on October 8.
Will you watch Pretty smart when will it be released on Netflix?
