Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer and Rob Reiner gathered to celebrate the 35th anniversary of This is the spinal tap April 27 at the Tribeca Film Festival. The Cheat Sheet explained what they thought were their characters today.
Michael McKean says David St. Hubbins still coaches football
The main singer probably wears his quality shoes in a very different setting now. McKean is relying on his latest appearance as a character to guess what he's doing today.
"Well, the last time we saw them, David St. Hubbins was working as a football coach in Ramona, California," Michael McKean told The Cheat Sheet. "No more music."
The actor also revealed that he still had some of his character's fabulous clothes. "I have a leprechaun jacket revealed McKean.
He continued, "I still have a t-shirt that has only two big lips. I have my boxing shoes. I wore boxing shoes and whenever I played that role, it was a character. I would wear these boxing shoes because they are really light and elastic. "
Harry Shearer said that Derek Smalls was solo
Harry Shearer did not just review his own character but the rest of the group. It looks like Derek Smalls is the only one to continue making music today.

"I know Nigel raises miniature breeding animals in miniature breeding," Shearer said.
