Jurgen Klopp praised Bruno Fernandes after the Liverpool draw with Sporting Lisbon.

Portuguese midfielder Fernandes is one of the targets for Manchester United transfers this summer as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to strengthen his midfield.

Fernandes is keen on going into the Premier League and has presented his talent against Liverpool this week while he has scored one and created another for Sporting.

Klopp was seen talking to Fernandes full-time and in Portugal he was congratulated by the 24-year-old.

"Good game." "You've been good." Congratulations on this great game. "You are a high level player," said Klopp according to O Jogo.

Klopp was also questioned about Fernandes after the match and praised his opponent.

"If he [joins Manchester United] then we will face him. He is obviously a very good player.

"They already have some very good players, so that will probably make them stronger.

"It's not good, but United's transfer transactions are]not our cup of tea, to be honest. "

Reports this weekend suggest that Fernandes should undergo a medical examination at Old Trafford after entering into an agreement with Sporting.

However, Mirror Sport understands that United did NOT act for the Portuguese international.

United Chiefs believe that clubs use their need for reinforcement to enhance the interest of their players and, subsequently, increase their asking price.

Solskjaer is keen to conclude contracts for Harry Maguire and Sean Longstaff before the deadline for the transfer. Another offensive player could replace him with Romelu Lukaku who ensures his transfer to Inter Milan.
