Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told Paul Pogba that he would not be allowed to leave the club for Real Madrid this summer.

The midfielder called the dream to Bernabeu during an interview while he was on an international mission with France in March.

Pogba was desperate to leave the club for Barcelona last summer after a scramble with Jose Mourinho, but Solskjaer has invigorated the midfielder since replacing the Portuguese coach.

Nevertheless, it is believed that Pogba is eager to work with Zinedine Zidane and her recent comments have not been very positive at Old Trafford.

Although he publicly dismissed it, Solskjaer dismissed Pogba at United's training ground last week and asked to see the midfielder in his office.

According to the Mirror, the Norwegian has made it clear to Pogba that he will not be sold this summer and told him to forget Real Madrid.

Pogba has more than two years to complete its existing Old Trafford contract and United has the option to extend it by another 12 months.

Qualifying for the Champions League might be essential to retain the French but United is currently an outsider to finish in the top four.

Losing Pogba would also send a bad signal to players like David De Gea, who has just over 12 months of business and plans to leave the club.
