What triggered the heat quarrel of Roy Keane and John Terry during the victory at Aston Villa

Roy Keane and John Terry took part in fierce field battles and the duo renewed their rivalry on the sidelines on Wednesday night.

The two badistant coaches were involved in a sideline near the end of the first half of Aston Villa's 3-1 win at Nottingham Forest.

Villa No 2 Terry seemed to be an exception to the tackle of Forest striker, Karim Ansarifard, on left-back Neil Taylor. The visitors led 2-1 at City Ground.

The former Chelsea skipper shared his feelings with fourth official official Andy Woolmer, much to the chagrin of Forest's badistant.

Keane left the dugout at home to blame Terry for a scene reminiscent of their field battles as Premier League players.

According to Birmingham Live, the exchange would have taken place in the context of "Keano, knock it out," songs of Forest fans.

However, the tension eventually dissipates, the attention returning to an exciting game.

On the field, the hosts took a fast lead when Jack Colback's center fooled Villa Jed Steer's goalkeeper and went into the goal.

Villa equalized four minutes later, as John McGinn fired a low shot for Costel Pantilimon in the Forest goal.

The Scottish midfielder scored his second goal of the game a few minutes later to put the visitors in the foreground and keep them in control.

Villa finished in the second half as Kortney Hause hijacked Conor Hourihane's free kick in the back of the net.

The win was Villa's third in less than two weeks and was ahead of Forest in the play-off race.

The team of Dean Smith counts only two points outside the top six of the championship with nine games of the season to play.

Forest is one point behind Midland rivals and hopes to return to convincing victories during his visit to Ipswich 's basement club on Saturday.
