Nigerian superstar, Davido, who just shut down Arena 02 in London during a mega concert, revealed an embarrbading moment at the hands of the US security apparatus during his first purchase in his home.
The singer said that his house had been carefully searched by American detectives because they were suspicious of him (probably they did not know he was an African superstar).
In the interview with Channel 4, the singer said the detectives suspected him because of the neighborhood in which he had bought the house.
He said;
"I'm the only African person in this neighborhood, so I moved in and two days later detectives came to my door. They came and searched the whole house asking me what I am doing because I bought the house money. I do not have a problem with the authorities but it may be shocking, "he said.
"I will not say it's racism, that's how they were brainwashed. Living in America, you are led to think that Africa is a forbidden region. In Africa, we are led to think that these people have taken everything from us, so it is something we have to deal with. "
