A former aide to the former president, Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, asked where the First Lady, Aisha Buhari is located.

Omokri also questioned Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, for saying that the security situation in Nigeria under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari was better than in 2015.

Mohammed had boasted that the current government under Buhari is winning the war on insecurity in the country.

The minister said this at a press conference in Abuja on Monday.

Mohammed said: “I can say without hesitation that although Nigeria faces security challenges, the situation is much better than what we encountered in 2015.

“I can tell you today that the armed forces, police and other security and intelligence agencies are stepping up their efforts to improve the security of lives and property across the country, and the results are starting to show.

Reacting, Omokri, in a tweet via his Twitter account, asked the minister on Monday where Aisha, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, is.

Omokri tweeted: “Lai Mohammed released a statement today, in which he said the following:

“’The security situation in Nigeria is much better than what we encountered in 2015.’

“I would like to remind Lai Mohammed that in 2015 Dame Patience @GEJonathan lived in Aso Rock. Lai, where is @AishaMBuhari?

Meanwhile, Ms Buhari reacted last December to reports that she had fled Nigeria for Dubai due to security concerns at the Presidential Villa.

The First Lady said she had traveled out of the country for a medical examination.

Aisha revealed this through one of her collaborators, Kabiru Dodo, in Jalingo, Taraba state.

Dodo said: “The First Lady has traveled for her medical trip, she has not fled the country due to insecurity.

“She left her children, her husband and her family in Nigeria.

“What people are saying is baseless and worthless to consider.

“I want to tell the whole world that I speak to her daily and that she is ready to return home as soon as she completes the medical treatment abroad.”
