Stacey Solomon laughed, beamed and cried on national television today – all thanks to the happy news that she is pregnant with her third child.
She and her boyfriend, Joe Swash, appeared on Loose Women today after announcing that they were expecting their first baby together later this year.
The merry couple choked when they revealed their enthusiasm and disbelief about their family's attachment to a new arrival.
Stacey, 29, has two children from previous relationships, while Joe has an 11-year-old son, Harry, from his engagement with Emma Sophocleous.
"We both have children, it's like we sometimes have two different lives," said Joe, an emotional man at Loose Ladies.
"This child will be family friendly, your children and mine will be part of a big family."
Who does Stacey Solomon have children with?
Stacey, who first knew the X Factor as a teenage mother in 2009, has two children from two previous relationships.
Zachary, now 10 years old, was born when Stacey was 17 years old and lived in a romantic relationship with Dean Cox, a little girl from childhood. She has already spoken of the shame she felt at giving birth to a young mother.
"I have always felt the stigma [more] to be a young mother and none of these doubts about me alone was not enough for my child to come from within rather than from anyone, "she told Loose Women in 2018.
"I felt that I was attacking myself personally and that I did not believe in myself enough to raise children.I was more aware of people who thought:" Look at this kid with a kid. "I do not even know if people knew if I was single or not."
Four years after the birth of Zachary, the second son, Leighton, had just formed a relationship with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham. Once again, Stacey felt guilty about her choices.
"I always have an overwhelming sense of guilt: if I strengthened my family, I would touch her socially and emotionally," she told Huffington Post in 2017.
"There have been times in my life when I felt the stigma of having multiple children from different partners."
Stacey was so worried about the potential judgment that she would have from three different fathers' children that she almost ruled out starting a family with Joe.
"Do you worry about," If my next child's father lives with me, do the other kids feel bad about being left out? " It's a difficult dynamic, "she told Star magazine in 2017.
"A lot of people make you feel uncomfortable having different kids for different people." It does not seem that bad, but it's hard for people to digest and they think it's a good thing. is unfair to children. "
She added: "[Joe and I] talk about that. But briefly. Joe has his son and me mine. The boys like Joe. We only do what is right for children rather than what we selfishly want. "
Although none of the proud parents explained how they had talked to their eldest son about their new brother and their new sister, it seems that they made the decision knowing that the small arrival will be welcome.
