Ben Mitchell returned to Walford with Lola Pearce and daughter Lexi.
Drugs Hate EastEnders' Denny – But Can It Be Saved?
The three have been missing from the show for some time and, as is natural at EastEnders, the real reason for their return is shrouded in mystery.
Ben (played by Max Bowden) was last seen with a different face in 2018, while Lola (Danielle Harold) showed up for the last time before leaving for Newcastle with her daughter in 2015.
Now all three are back and it's not hard to feel that they've gotten them into trouble, but in what form, we can not be sure.
As we watch the drama unfold, let's take a closer look at the three and why they are such a close-knit group …
Who is Lexi's father at EastEnders?
For those who do not already know, Lexi is the product of a night meeting between Lola Pearce and Ben Mitchell.
Fans of serials with longer memories may remember that Ben and Lola met together for only one night when they were still teenagers.
Even though Ben was questioning his baduality at the time and he and Lola were a third cousin, once removed, that did not prevent them from participating in a single appointment that resulted in a pregnancy.
In fact, Ben's baduality was part of the strategy – at that point, Lola asked Ben how he knew he was gay if he had never slept with anyone before.
So, both of us, uh, tested this theory and afterwards, not only did Lola have a bun in the oven, but Ben confirmed that he was gay once and for all.

While Lola left the place in 2015 to resume Lexi's departure at Newcastle, the last time we saw Ben, was in 2018 after he stole some stolen loot (the apple did not falls not far from the tree after all) and has escaped to France.
Why Lola and Ben are back in Walford at the same time, for now, nobody knows.
