The regional youth organizer of the new patriotic party for Brong Ahafo, Kwame Baffoe, aka Abronye DC, has asked the director general of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police to arrest, interrogate and prosecute the former ambbadador for HIV / AIDS, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah Yawavi for "fraud".
According to Abronye DC, Ms. Yawavi allegedly violated sections 248 and 251 of the 1960 Penal Code (Bill 29) by making a false statement about her HIV status and deceiving public officials.
In 2011, Yawavi was named an HIV Ambbadador by the Ghana AIDS Commission to launch a campaign to reduce the stigma and discrimination experienced by people living with HIV to put a human face on HIV.
In December 2014, Ms. Yawavi publicly announced that she had lied about her HIV status for years and that she had never been tested positive before working for the disease before working for the Ghanaian Commission. AIDS as an ambbadador for HIV / AIDS.
In 2016, however, she turned around to say that she had actually been tested positive for the virus, but that she had only lied about her status in order to protect her children from stigma.
Last week, Ms. Yawavi revealed that she had been tested again for HIV / AIDS and that the result was negative.
In his petition, Abronye DC stated: "It can be said that Joyce's acts constituted fraud under section 16 of the Penal Code."

PETITION TO STOP, INVESTIGATE AND CONTINUE JOYCE DZIDZOR MENSAH YAWAVI.
1. I Kwame Baffoe Abronye a citizen of the Republic of Ghana who seeks to protect, respect and defend the constitution and laws of Ghana, in accordance with established law, writes this petition for the Criminal Investigation Department to arrest, interrogate and prosecute more Joyce Dzidzor Mensah Yawavi, former AIDS ambbadador of the Ghana AIDS Commission for making a false statement and misleading officials, contrary to articles 248 and 251 of the 1960 Penal Code (Law 29).
2. Joyce Dzidzor Mensah Yawavi is a Ghanaian citizen who, through her actions and tendencies, has violated various provisions of the 1960 Penal Code (Law 29).
3. In 2011, the Ghana AIDS Commission decided to launch a campaign to reduce the stigma and discrimination experienced by people living with HIV in order to put a human face on HIV. The campaign has been nicknamed the Heart to Heart campaign.
4. The main requirements of the "Heart to Heart" ambbadador's duty were that "the person is HIV positive and under treatment".
5. Joyce Dzidzor Mensah subsequently made a false statement and misrepresented herself as HIV positive, in a manner consistent with the scope, scope and requirements of the Ghana AIDS Commission. It is important to note that such false statements contravene Article 248 of the 1960 Penal Code (Law 29).
6. Joyce Dzidzor Mensah subsequently managed to deceive the Ghana AIDS Commission and, around the month of August 2011, she signed a contract with her as an AIDS ambbadador. However, the contract was subsequently terminated by the commission on or around 12 November 2012 for breach of the terms of the contract.
7. As part of her contract as an AID ambbadador, she received several benefits and incentives from the commission, which came from the state. One of these benefits was that the state had provided him with a fully furnished apartment. It is interesting to note that, after the formal termination of her contract, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah was still in possession and occupied the apartment for the "AIDS Ambbadadors" until August 2014, when the lease was signed. finally expired.
She continued to benefit from many incentives, as if she was still ambbadador of the commission, which included travel allowances. According to the information that I have gathered so far, there has been a conspiracy between Joyce Mensah and some members of the AIDS Commission that has allowed him to succeed in all of this. In my opinion, this amounts to deliberately causing a financial loss to the state and violating the criminal. code.
8. It is worth mentioning that Joyce Dzidzor Mensah herself has publicly released her HIV status, which indicates that she is uninfected from the infection. Moreover, the offense of misleading a public official is clearly valid in this respect and was fully provided for in Article 251 of the 1960 Penal Code.
It is clear that Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, by his actions, violated this law because the Ghana AIDS Commission is undoubtedly a state agency composed of civil servants. So, Joyce lying or deceiving them to be able to fight their way is a flagrant violation of the law.
9. It can also be said that Joyce's acts constituted fraud under Article 16 of the Penal Code.

To avoid any ambiguity, this petition is accompanied by a letter from Joyce Dzidzor Mensah addressed to Joyce Dzidzor Mensah and carrying the HIV status of Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, exhibition B and other publications from Joyce Dzidzor Mensah on HIV marked as Exhibit C which emphasizes that she does not have HIV.
