According to the American Journal of Public Health (2008), teenagers who looked at anti-smoking ads for young people were actually 36% more likely to smoke! The tobacco industry uses an insidious reverse psychology in these ads deliberately designed to entice teens to smoke!
The tobacco, even if used according to instructions, kills 1/3 to 1/2 of its consumers! Smoking kills one person every 6 seconds, or approx. 30 people have died since I started writing this post! Death atrocious, brutal and atrocious!
They make them to create an addiction. In recent years, they have increased the amount of nicotine in an average cigarette by 11.6% to make them even more addictive!
Recently, we learned that tobacco companies have been adding an ammonium compound for years to cigarettes in order to increase the absorption of nicotine. It's basically the same principle used in crack!
The tobacco industry, like a nest of badroaches, will always find a way to survive.
They can not advertise on T.V but they have hired P.R agents to connect them to the film industry. And it works, because researchers estimate that smoking in movies reports every year nearly 400,000 new teen smokers!
Every time you try to kill the badroach, there is another way – you have to – because when you make a product that kills your consumers, you have to find a way to recruit new customers.
They use social and psychological profiles to target potential smokers by bad, age, etc.! Cockroaches do not discriminate! This is not how societies with a conscience behave!
How, in the name of God, are cigarettes LEGAL! They are a deadly mixture of carcinogens that damage all organs of the body! Why are they not TOTALLY banned?
Because it's a free world, freedom of choice is a Ghanaian ideal! Is there anyone who dies every six seconds ?!
How can a company knowingly produce a product that poisons its users and gives the product a cool, trendy, bady and fun look to encourage kids to eat? How can a society tolerate them?
Unfortunately, we do it and until recently, they sponsored events. People smoke day after day and die while the tobacco company keeps getting rich! How can we tolerate that?
