It's no secret, Duggars loves children, and Jill and Derick Dillard are no different. The couple currently has two sons, Samuel and Israel, aged 1 and 3 respectively. And since Jessa Duggar is pregnant, fans have been speculating for a long time about when Jill will have another baby.
For now, Jill does not seem to be pregnant – but we remember telling ABC News in 2014 (even before her marriage with Derick) that she wanted to have a ton of kids up to her famous mother. Jill and Derick, who were engaged at the time, told ABC: "We both want as many children as God will give us and we talked about adoption. My parents kept taking them out so we could see how [our] Fertility is! It seems that Jill and Derick also talked about early adoption, which also led many to think that they would have a mix of biological and adopted children once the knot was tightened.
Jill alluded to the possibility of adoption on Instagram
Not only did Jill discuss the possibility of an adoption years ago, but this was recently mentioned again on her Instagram message. She added a picture of her and Derick watching the movie Unexpected this has a pro-life message. "Life is precious, no matter the gestation. #choose life If you are facing an unplanned pregnancy and abortion seems to be the only good option, think twice and ask for help !! She added.

As to why Jill and Derick might consider adopting now rather than having another biological child, this may have to do with what Jill's body can handle. We know that the Duggars are known to have difficult births, and Jill's story is no different. People remind us that Jill had been giving birth for almost three days with her first son and that she was hoping to give birth at home, she was taken to the hospital after a positive test for Streptococcus B and signs of fetal distress. She eventually had to have a caesarean in this scenario and she also opted for another caesarean section for her second son.
The risk of something going wrong for the mother and the child increases with each caesarean section, so maybe this is why Jill and Derick may be considering adopting later. Anyway, we are eager to see if the rumors are true and if another baby Dillard is on the way.
