Gary Neville is undecided as to whether Manchester United should make Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the club's next permanent manager.
The Norwegian has shone since his arrival as interim substitute Jose Mourinho six days before Christmas, guiding the team to eight wins and a draw among its nine decisive matches.
In a poll conducted by the MEN earlier this week, 84% of United fans said they wanted Solskjaer to be given the job on a permanent basis.
However, while Neville admits that part of him wants that to happen, another part of him does not want United's decision on their next manager to be emotional.
"I have divergent points of view," said Neville The telegraph. "Personally, I would like it [Solskjaer] have a shot at work that he has now. But on the other hand, I want the club to make a decision without emotion: "Is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the best person for the job?"

"If the answer is" yes "at the end of the season because he places them in the top four and they won the FA Cup, you would say," How not to give him the job? "
"I will not change that. I said that United should look for the best football brain in the world and the best head coach in the world that they can get.
"And if it's Ole at the end of the season … I'm coming back to that, Pochettino has always been the one who stood out for me as a footballer, value and input of young players, the picture of what he did at Tottenham and Southampton. On a period of time, it seems to me that it would be the natural choice.
"However, you look at what [Vicente] Del Bosque did at Real Madrid when he picked up the team, or like what [Roberto] Di Matteo did during those six months in Chelsea. It's like what Ole does, as he had that kind of time now. "
Neville suggested that United's win over Tottenham in January was when Solskjaer became a real contender for landing the job permanently.
"The victory over the Spurs has changed my thinking a little bit," said Neville. "He [Solskjaer] was right and in the first half won the tactical battle.
"Yes, in the second half, David De Gea made a lot of backups. Tottenham would probably have equalized, but in the first period, he went to a diamond with separate attackers. It was a risk and I have never seen United do that in any game in the last two or three years. He introduced a new system, a new form and a new way of playing in his biggest game.
"He did what the leaders of Manchester United should do – he took chances to win and he tried his luck. I thought it was a great moment for Ole.
