The government calls the Islamic Movement of Nigeria a "terrorist" organization.
The main group of Shia Muslims in Nigeria has had a few tumultuous days.
The Islamic Movement of Nigeria has been banned and described as a terrorist organization.
Its leader, Ibrahim Zakzaky, has been in prison since 2015, when 350 of his supporters were killed in clashes with security forces.
More and more supporters were killed during protests demanding his release.
Observers said the government treated the group in the same way as Boko Haram, who became violent a decade ago when his leader died in custody.
Could this last crackdown provoke a new conflict?
