While mirrorless cameras have been gaining popularity since at least 2013, largely thanks to Sony's Sony A7 and GH cameras, this past year seems to be the beginning of this format's dominance. Nikon and Canon, the last major manufacturers to avoid the full-frame frameless mirror market, have launched feature-rich cameras, with radically new lens designs and frames, and we've seen the new ambitious models from Fujifilm and Panasonic that bring new features to DSLRs. Traditional digital SLRs are not going anywhere for a while, but they expect to see more and more mirrorless designs of all these companies.
