More and more details explain why the owner of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Nana Appiah Mensah, aka NAM1, was again arrested by police immediately after her release on bail in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In the end, he was arrested again at the supposed request of Interpol to the police of the UAE country.

Unconfirmed information indicated that Dubai prosecutors understood that a prima facie case might not be established against NAM1 in a $ 51 million gold deal. The court therefore began to "relax" the restrictions imposed on it.

Interpol's alleged intervention has, however, secured his pre-trial detention as a person of interest in other parts of the world, including Ghana.

Nigerian Connection

The authorities in Dubai are reported to be closely following Adetunji Adewoye Olorunfemi, aka Ade, who is reported to be involved in the $ 51 million gold deal for which NAM1 has had problems.

According to DAILY GUIDE sources, Ade was placed on the "Checklist" of Kotoka International Airport (KIA) after the Bureau of National Investigation (BNI) detected that it was using Ghanaian and Nigerian pbadports simultaneously. .

He would have foiled the security agencies by traveling by road to Nigeria to escape arrest instead of using KIA.

Diplomatic pbadport

A source affirmed between 2012 and 2016, Ade used a Ghanaian diplomatic pbadport even though it was not eligible and used the date of birth – January 12, 1976.

Interestingly, in the Ade ECOWAS travel card, he uses the name Ogumtomole Yinka with the date of birth 01-12-1980.

The lawyers of NAM1

NAM1 lawyers made "serious" statements about Ade, especially on social media.

They claimed that the Nigerian was crucial in the $ 51 million gold contract for which the chief executive officer (CEO) of the gold collecting company has been holding in Dubai since 7 December of last year.

They posted travel documents from said Ade on social media.

"Can you imagine he has Ghanaian and Nigerian pbadports … He is the only solution to this NAM problem."

They also said that "this Ade is the reason why NAM1 is being held in Dubai and has not seen the sun for a very long time (four months) … a Nigerian also with pbadports both Ghanaian and Nigerian".

Imminent protest

Recently, members of a group calling themselves "worried customers" from Menzgold threatened to engage in a protest this week to demand their stalled investments in the company.

The aggrieved customers announced their intention to picket the Ministry of the Attorney General, the Economic and Organized Crime Bureau (EOCO) and other state institutions to demand their money.

The government has already indicated that it will not use the taxpayer's money to pay Menzgold's customers.

Sale of properties

NAM1 suggested that the government of Ghana sell its properties to install customers at home.

He allegedly made this suggestion to a delegation from Ghana, composed of representatives of the Economic and Organized Crime Bureau (EOCO), the National Investigation Bureau (BNI) and National Security, who visited him in prison in Dubai on January 16 to 18, 2019.

List of customers

Daily Guide surveys in February revealed that Menzgold had a total of 4,998 customers, not the estimated 46,000 previously published in the media.
