Paul Pogba will wait patiently for his move to Real Madrid – because he is desperate to work with Zinedine Zidane.
The Manchester United star went to Australia with his team for their pre-season tour and has until now been an integral part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's preparations for the new season.
But the winner of the French World Cup clearly expressed his feelings about his future and commissioned super-agent Mino Raiola to organize his move to Bernabeu.
And according to the respected French daily L'Equipe, it's because Pogba wants to work under his compatriot in the Spanish capital.
Zidane returned to Real Madrid last season and has spent his summer rebuilding his team.
More than 270 million pounds have already been spent with Eden Hazard (Chelsea) and Luka Jovic (Eintracht Frankfurt), the big names on the market,
Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy also arrived from Porto and Lyon respectively.
But the signing of Pogba could well take place, United refusing to sell for less than 150 million pounds.
The midfielder is under contract with the Old Trafford club until 2021 and Solksjaer expects him to be in Manchester for the start of the new Premier League season.
But Riola, who recently facilitated Matthijs De Ligt's move from Ajax to Juventus, continues to work.
"Everyone in the club [United] from the manager to the owner knows Paul's wishes, "he told The Times. "Everyone knows Paul's willingness to go forward. We are doing it; everyone knows what Paul's feelings are.
Real may have to sell before he can catch Pogba with Gareth Bale, a player they'd like to part with.
