Gershon Asiedu ran out, forcing the attacker to hit him with the cutlbad.
Mr. Gershon Asiedu, a staff member of PDS Ghana Limited, a member of the Bortianor District Office, was reportedly attacked and wounded on Saturday by an average-aged man in Kokrobite, South Ga Municipality in the Greater Accra.
The incident occurred as PDS staff tried to restore power to some affected customers in the area.
The suspect escaped after the act and was not found.

Mr. Michael Abbey, PDS Manager in Bortianor District, told Graphic Online that, during the restoration of the power supply, the technical team understood that trees were interfering with overhead cables.
When pruning the branches, he saw a middle-aged man walk around with a young child in the area, adding that the team had beckoned him to avoid the area where the height had was done because it was dangerous.

"After exchanging words with the PDS staff, the suspect chose a cutlbad used to cut the trees and accused him. The team members then started running for their lives.
The victim, Gershon, ran out, forcing the attacker to hit him with the cutlbad. The rest of the team then rushed to prevent further injury, "he said.
According to Mr. Abbey, the victim has since been transferred to the Korle-Bu University Hospital where he has been successfully operated on and is receiving additional medical attention.
Complaint
An official complaint, he said, was filed with the Kokrobite police, adding that the PDS was working with the police and local authorities to identify and arrest the perpetrator.
