The arrival of Angelina Jolie in Brad Pitt's life may have hurt her marriage with Jennifer Aniston, but that did not change the direction.
The story may have blurred the lines between Brad and Jen and Brad and Angel, but what seems certain, is that the wedding was "finished" well before.
It seems that Brad and Jen were destined to divorce, whether or not Angelina arrived at the scene, and here's why.
Friends meeting
There was a conflict in the marriage, born of professional "jealousies" and which began to cause a split between them.

Brad was a Hollywood bum, but he apparently did not want Jennifer Aniston to see her stock increase dramatically with the latest series of Friends.
Pay equity in the Friends team was a breakthrough and Jennifer and Courteney Cox became the highest paid actresses when they received $ 1 million per episode, just like the men in the cast.
Brad did not like Jennifer to sign up for the final series and stopped supporting her and attending the shoot and meeting her behind the scenes.
He was a notable absence at the end-of-season party after filming the last episode of his life, with Jennifer apologizing for having a busy schedule.
Brad Pitt admitted that he was bored
Brad did not really live his best life when he was married to Jennifer, despite the onlookers greeting them as the Hollywood gold couple.
In an interview with Parade magazine, six years after his split from Jen, Brad admitted that he was "bored" by being married to her.

"It became very clear to me that I wanted to try to find a movie about an interesting life, but I did not lead an interesting life myself.
"I think my marriage [to Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend that marriage was something that it was not. "
After an avalanche of criticism, Brad sought to clarify his remarks, claiming that Jennifer was not "boring" but that he had "let" himself become "boring".
Brad said, "I'm sorry it was interpreted that way.Jen is an incredibly generous, loving and hilarious woman who remains my friend.It is an important relationship that I greatly appreciate.

"What I was trying to say is not that Jen was boring, but that I was getting bored for me – and that I'm responsible for it."
The rule of engagement
Regardless of Brad's annoyance for his "boredom" remarks, it seemed that what was being put forward was that Brad may not have been as attached to the wedding as Jennifer.
Brad might not be looking for a new love, but Angelina Jolie may have arrived at the right moment of his life.
Her vision of life and her seemingly growing dissatisfaction meant that Angelina was the solution.

Live fast, the wedding is done
Brad and Jennifer were engaged a few months after the beginning of their relationship in 1999 and got married in 2000.
Their marriage was hailed in every corner of the world of showbiz, each movement being dissected, it was always going to wreak havoc on the couple.
It could be argued that no marriage could have lasted under this scrutiny. Five years was therefore a reasonable effort, even if it was always doomed.
