The former AIDS ambbadador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, revealed that former President John Dramani Mahama had been removed from his post as an AIDS ambbadador and had appointed in his place his wife, Lordina Mahama.
According to her, Ms. Mahama allegedly misappropriated funds for campaigns to combat stigma and ensure the safety of Ghanaians.
Joyce pointed out that although she should not be blamed for embezzlement, she is wrongly accused and wanted for something that she has never done.
In an article on Facebook, she said: "Former President John Mahama was vice chair of the AIDS Commission when I became ambbadador in 2011.
I remember very well the congratulatory messages that Dr. Amenya sent me after my programs. He always appreciated the fact that I delivered beyond their expectations.
I am that kind of person who works at full speed when given a task.
We were in Washington, South America with some ministers when His Excellency Professor Mills died in 2012 and upon our return to Ghana, Mr. Mahama was appointed President. They threw me out and confided my position to Mrs. Lordina Mahama.
