Joe Garner scored the only goal as Wigan ended his first season in the championship with a win over Millwall.
With both camps safe from relegation, the atmosphere at DW Stadium was predictable.
But Garner created the mood with what was supposed to be the only goal of the game when he crashed his left foot off the left foot after Nick Powell's shot was blocked by Millwall goaltender David Martin.
