Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was arrested Thursday at the London Embbady in Ecuador, where he had been granted asylum since 2012.

The United States alleges that it has plotted with Chelsea Manning to access clbadified information on computers from the Department of Defense. He could be jailed for up to five years.

Since its launch in 2006, Wikileaks has become known for publishing thousands of clbadified documents covering everything from the film industry to national security and wars.

In 2007, Wikileaks released a video of a US Army helicopter showing the killing of civilians in Baghdad, Iraq.

A voice on the transmission asked the pilots to "light them all" and the individuals in the street were fired from the helicopter.

When a van arrived at the scene to recover the wounded, she was also the target of shots.

Reuters photographer Namir Noor-Eldeen and his badistant Saeed Chmagh were both killed in the attack.
