WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder
Deontay Wilder was quick to comment on Anthony Joshua's loss to Andy Ruiz Jnr in New York.
The British heavyweight lost his WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF league titles to the detriment of Madison Square Garden's non-fictional Mexican and his fierce rival, Wilder, insisted that Joshua's career "consisted of lies, contradictions and gifts ".
Holding on Twitter after Joshua's unexpected defeat, Wilder wrote: "He was not a real champion. His entire career has been composed of lies, contradictions and gifts. The facts and now we know who was running who !!!!
Wilder already has his next games up for grabs and neither has included a much-anticipated match with the Brit.
The Alabama fighter will face Luis Ortiz in a rematch later this year, before a second comeback match with Tyson Fury in 2020.
It was expected that calls for a unification fight between Wilder and Joshua would develop with a comfortable victory over Ruiz Jnr, but that never happened; a shock defeat was instead the MSG script.
Oshua was rocked as many have never seen before in his illustrious career and was sent to the canvas while Ruiz Jnr was firing punches.
He recovered, before hitting the canvas again and the bell came at a crucial moment to save him and bring him back safely to his corner.
But one minute and 27 seconds after the seventh round, his recovery ran out and the fight was interrupted – sending Wilder and other Joshua critics into an online frenzy.
Fury, who also has a fight with AJ, was much more likeable in giving his point of view on the worst moment of his career for his British compatriot.
He wrote on his Twitter page: "We have our backs and Forth, but @anthonyfjoshua has changed its stars over the course of life. heavyweights, these things happen, rest, recover, regroup and come back. "
