Crystal Palace is facing a new fight to retain Wilfried Zaha, after Napoli entered the race for the signing.
The Italian club reacted to the defeat against Arsenal against Nicolas Pepe by turning more towards Ivorian.
The Gunners had previously identified Zaha as a transfer target, but had chosen to pbad for Pepe after being dismissed from the Crystal Palace winger.
Napoli had made Pepe their main target, but Arsenal are about to finalize a GBP 72 million contract to advance Lille to the UAE, which will prompt the Serie A club to explore other options.
Sky Sports is now reporting that Naples is ready to pay £ 54.6 million to Palace for Zaha's signature.
Zaha is determined to leave Selhurst Park, but his club does not want to let him go as long as there are four years left in his contract.
This summer, the palace has already rejected an offer of 40 million pounds of Arsenal, and an offer of Everton 55 million pounds for 26 years.
Zaha was eager to join the Arsenal Children's Club, but they must announce Pepe's signature on Thursday.
Everton is on the verge of signing Juventus striker Moise Kean.
That leaves few options to Zaha, but he could be tempted by a move to Napoli, who will participate in the Champions League next season.
Zaha had previously stated, "I have to experience the Champions League.I just need the opportunity, that's all." And I'll do the rest.
"I'm too ambitious, and not ambitious just to play for a big club, but to win things at the club level and with Côte d'Ivoire."

"I think it should be done in the next 24 hours," Lopez told RMC Sport on Wednesday.
"It's 80 M € [£72m] fixed, plus some other details. "
