Will Buhari win a second term?

[ad_1]

Nigerians go to the polls on February 16 to vote for their next president. The former president Muhammadu Buhari is facing more than 70 challengers, including the former, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, the main opposition party, the Democratic People's Party (PDP).

Buhari was elected in 2015, hoping his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) party, would equalize Nigerian society and effectively fight the Boko Haram armed group. Millions of Nigerians, however, remain unemployed and Buhari is under fire for suspending the Chief Justice just three weeks before the elections, prompting the DPP to suspend its protest campaign for 72 hours.

The Stream welcomes a group of Nigerian journalists to unveil the latest election news and discuss the main issues affecting the campaigns.
