President Rajoelina said last Saturday during his bilateral talks with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in the Malagasy capital, Antananarivo, that shortly after his appointment to a presidential term.
It was the first time since independence that Madagascar witnessed a peaceful transition of democratic power between two elected presidents.
On January 8, the Supreme Constitutional Court of Madagascar declared Mr. Rajoelina winner of the presidential election with 55.66% of the vote.
