Willem Dafoe recently co-starred in the movie Lighthouse with Robert Pattinson, the Batman favorite.

When promoting the film at this year's Cannes Film Festival, Dafoe met Variety to discuss Lighthouse and his other upcoming movies. The actor also shared his thoughts on Batman's potential role in Pattinson by stating, "He has a strong chin, and that's part of that." Can you imagine a person with a weak chin playing Batman? I do not think so."
Pattinson has not been officially confirmed for the role of the Dark Knight, but most rumors say he's the favorite. Originally, Ben Affleck was ready to write and direct The Batman. Matt Reeves took over these duties after leaving Affleck.

Directed by Robert Eggers, Lighthouse is a black and white film that follows two 1890s lighthouse keepers (Dafoe and Pattinson) as they sink into madness during a strong New England storm. Dafoe appeared in another film presented at the Cannes Film Festival this year called Tommaso.

Willem Dafoe is known for his role as green elf in 2002 Spider Man. He recently appeared in the extended universe of DC under the name Nuidis Vulko in 2018. Aquaman.
The Batman is led by Matt Reeves, who will also produce alongside Dylan Clark. The film's release is scheduled for June 25, 2021.
