The football officer who organized the move of Emiliano Sala from Nantes to Cardiff revealed that he had asked another pilot to pilot the attacker in the missing plane at above the Channel.
The family of the Argentine striker is in Europe after raising funds to start his own private search of aircraft debris. They hope that the agent's disclosure could be the first step in discovering what happened to the player and driver Dave 28-year-old Dave Ibbotson.
However, in an interview with The Team, agent Willie McKay, whose family arranged the flight, confirmed that he had asked the pilot David Henderson to fly Sala to Nantes and come back for his first training with Cardiff. Henderson was not available and he entrusted the work to Ibbotson.

A few days after the disappearance of the plane, it appeared that Ibbotson had told a friend on Facebook that he was a little "rusty" with the aircraft control systems.
Ibbotson only had a private pilot certificate, which is not enough to take paying pbadengers and a commercial license requires more training and flying hours.
Cardiff originally offered to pay a commercial flight for Sala, but McKay said, "When you spend 17 million euros for a footballer, you do not put it on an EasyJet flight." The agent has also described the experience since the disappearance of Sala as a "nightmare for all of us".
