The former goalkeeper from Arsenal has spent eight seasons with the club before leaving in 2017
Former Arsenal goaltender Wojciech Szczesny called Robin van Persie extremely arrogant, while sharing his feelings about Samir Nasri and Alexander Hleb in a broad interview.
Szczesny spent eight seasons with the Gunners, before leaving for Juventus in 2017, while Van Persie traded the Emirates against Old Trafford to join Manchester United in 2012.
Although the Dutchman contributed significantly to United's Premier League win in his first season, finishing with 26 goals to win the Golden Boot, Szczesny felt that the striker, who is now playing for Fenerbache in Turkey, would have realized more if he had stayed with Arsenal.
"He could have made other decisions and done a lot more at Arsenal," he told Foot Truck.
"He's extremely arrogant – sometimes.
"I must admit that he left for Manchester United and that the following year won a title.
"However, after that, he found himself on the bench, moved to Turkey and his great career ended."
The Polish international has not hesitated to talk about the two former midfielders of Arsenal, Nasri and Hleb.
Szczesny said: "Nasri always thought that he was a kind of gangster.
"Everyone has this guy at school, who had great and powerful friends and it made him think that he was cool."
