The longtime Wolf Defender and graduate of the Molineux Academy has completed his permanent move to Stoke City.
Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed that longtime defenseman Danny Batth had completed his permanent move to Stoke City.
A 28-year-old Wolves Academy graduate who had taken out a season loan in Middlesbrough, he signed a three-and-a-half year contract at the Bet365 stadium, according to the Potters' official website.
Born at Brierley Hill, Batth joined the Wanderers Academy at the age of 10 and made 212 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals, according to Transfermarkt.
The back center joins Stoke for an undisclosed amount, but according to Sky Sports News, the sum would be 3 million pounds, which could reach 4 million pounds.
Batth played 21 times for the Wolves last season by winning the league title, but was not included in any of Nuno Espirito Santo's matches at the start of the Premier League season.
Here's how some Wolves fans reacted to the announcement of the departure of their former captain on Twitter:
@Danny_Batth
You do honor to your profession and you gave everything for the wolves in every game. You helped us start this trip we are on! All the best for the future. Good luck to Stoke.– Leamington Wolves (@LeamWolves) January 29, 2019
Good luck @Danny_Batth played a role in rebuilding the club where it is. Us Wolves fans thank you for it. Once a wolf always a wolf

Good luck, full respect and thank you Danny.

I can not hit @Danny_Batth tbf, gets a lot of unnecessary reviews, he always played for the badge, not the pay package at the end of the week … and even if he was not involved, drove himself into an excellent mansion and deserves a lot of credit for that! Good luck!

Will he receive a deserved testimony?

Never forget what Danny Batth and Kenny Jackett did for us, no chance #wwfc would be where we are now without these 2 leading our recovery.

Batth follows his former Molineux team-mate, Benik Afobe, and Ryan Woods, when he made moves to the Potters this month, after their initial loan agreements became permanent.
They hope the Staffordshire team will play in the playoffs of the championship since their 15th place in the current league.
