The skipper of the Wolves, Conor Coady, has urged his teammates to give them the name of their glorious history.

The promoted Wanderers, who are seventh, make their way to the FA Cup semifinals at Wembley after beating Manchester United 2-1.

The club has a rich history of champion England three times in the 1950s and four times winner of the FA Cup, the last of which dates back to 1960.

The wolves have gone through difficult times since then and have crisscrossed the depths but are now firmly on the move once again.

Asked what he had said to his teammates before the match, defender Coady said, "Make history, make sure this team does not go unnoticed. Make sure people remember this team.

"Players come and go year after year. We will come and go. More players will enter. But we are a good team. We have incredible footballers.

"Before the match, we had players who participated in important games and we want to make history of this football club.We are now here and we want to make sure we do it right."

Coady was promoted captain of the Wolves last year and they have since achieved positive results against the top six in the Premier League, World Cup or FA Cup.

But Coady added, "It's the biggest pride I've had for the boys in the locker room, all the staff, everyone to do with this football club.

"The future in recent years is not sensational.

"The evening in general is huge for this club and I'm sure we will have 30 to 40,000 people in Wembley to cheer us on."

Coady praised their partnership with Raul Jimenez, on loan from Benfica, and Diogo Jota, who both scored goals for 15 and seven goals respectively.

He said: "It is difficult to clbadify them. We are very lucky to have them in this football club.

"It would be fantastic if we keep Raul. He is a sensational footballer. It's like he's been there for many years.

"We know what Diogo brings, we knew he was coming to score and help, and you look at it now, and it's like he's been a Premier League player all his life."
