A woman alleged to be 30 years old was captured alive by the fishing net in Gomoa Nyanyano, a suburb of Kasoa, in Awutu Senya municipality, in the central region.

The incident occurred Wednesday around 4:30 am, after fishermen from the city went fishing.

Gomoa Nyanyano's chief fisherman, Nana Awotwe, told Fawe News that fishermen in the city had told him that a woman had been caught up by her fishing net after being removed from the sea.

According to him, the woman was brought home with the fishermen. During her interrogation, she reportedly named Maame Ama, a resident of the Tema community at two years of age.

After mentioning her name and location, the chief fisherman stated that the woman collapsed and was taken to the Kasoa Polyclinic for treatment.

"I was at home when fishermen called me on the phone to ask me if I was at home because they caught up with a human being after removing their fishing net from the sea." I therefore asked a taxi driver to go to the seaside and bring the woman with the fishermen. When they came to my house, I asked what had happened and told me everything. I asked the name of the woman and she told me that she was Maame Ama from Tema Community 2 but that she suddenly fainted. We rushed it to the Kasoa Polyclinic, "Nana Awotwe told Fawe News.

Nana Awotwe said that, after regaining consciousness, Maame had been questioned by the doctor in charge of the Kasoa Polyclinic about the causes of the situation in which she had found herself.

Maame Ama, according to Nana Awotwe, recounted that she had come to the Obojo Beach Hotel in Koklobetey on Tuesday around 9 pm to relax the body and mind.

Maame Ama said that she had decided to go for a swim at the beach but that she had suddenly heard a strange voice calling her name and to her surprise, by the time she had realized that She had herself in the arms of the goddess of the sea, so Maame Water.

Maame Ama revealed to them that she had found herself in the fishing net after being thrown out of the goddess of the sea's premises for not complying with her order to turn into a net. . a fish.

"The woman said that she had come to the Obojo Beach Hotel in Koklobetey around 9 pm and that she had decided to go for a swim at the beach, but she had heard a strange voice coming from nowhere who called her and when she realized that she was under the sea with Maame Water.

"The woman told us that she was caught by the net after Maame Water kicked her when she did not turn into fish," Nana Awotwe said.

Meanwhile, the social welfare department of the municipality has taken over the business and the department still has not transferred Maame Ama to Tema community 2.
