A mother, who lost two children last Wednesday during the collapse of a building in Lagos, reportedly killed herself after hearing the news of the deaths of these children. It was learned that she had given birth to both children, aged six to four, by caesarean section (CS).

According to an online news channel, Sahara Reporters, locals who recounted the incident claimed to have bought a bottle of insecticide called "Sniper".
"Nobody knew what she wanted to do with the Sniper. But a few minutes later, we saw the bottle next to her where she was sleeping and we discovered that she was already dead, "said a neighbor, who preferred not to be named.
Supporters invaded their home in Gambari, on the island, where she lived with her husband to express his condolences with her husband and family members.
Meanwhile, a mother, Yetunde, whose son was injured, was too traumatized by the sight of the boy lying on the hospital bed, without being able to sit for more than nine hours.
She was seen moving from one corner of the Lagos Island General Hospital to another in search of prescribed medications and other needs requested by the doctors.
The boy survived the wounds and his two legs are plaster of Paris (POP).
Recalling the past 24 hours, Yetunde said she was the one who dressed the boy for school. She had already left home when she had received a call stating that the school in which her son was enrolled had given way, leaving many children trapped. She called well-meaning Nigerians to pray for her son's speedy recovery.
