A woman gave birth in a mango tree while escaping the floods caused by Cyclone Idai in central Mozambique.
Amelia, a single mother, gave birth to her daughter Sara while hanging on to the branches with her two-year-old son.
The family was rescued two days later by neighbors, following storms that killed more than 700 people.
It's been almost 20 years since another miracle baby, Rosita Mabuiango, was born from a tree during a flood in southern Mozambique.
"I was at home with my two year old son when suddenly and without warning, the water started to enter the house," she told the UN agency for Unicef childhood.
"I had no choice but to climb a tree, I was alone with my son."
Amelia and her newly widowed family are currently living in temporary housing in Dombe, not far from there, and would be in good health.
Today, 19-year-old Rosita Mabuiango made the headlines in the international press after being rescued by helicopter with her mother Sofia from a tree surrounded by floodwaters.
Speaking with the local newspaper Mail and Guardian, Sofia said the birth was "very, very painful".
"I was crying, I was screaming, sometimes I thought the baby was coming, but other times, I thought it was because of hunger."
She added, "Many people lost everything during the floods, but I won something."
Rosita Mabuiango was also born from a tree when floods hit southern Mozambique in 2000.
But in an interview with the BBC, Rosita said the promises of a government purse and a paid trip to America with the permission of the US government had not been held.
"My studies have always been funded by my mother, I have not received anything from the government," Rosita said.
"OK, the government has built a house for us, but it is no longer in good condition and when it rains, there are leaks in the house, at least they should help to renovate it."
