What appeared to be an incredibly generous gesture turned out to be an act of revenge after a Florida woman tipped a $ 5,000 tip to a waitress who used her boyfriend's credit card to pick it up after a fight.

Serina Wolfe, 24, was arrested on Monday for stealing crime. She reportedly used her boyfriend's credit card to tip an unusually generous $ 5,000, or 10,000%, bill at the Clear Sky Cafe in Clearwater Beach in June. 27

The waitress first thought that Wolfe was simply incredibly generous, but later learned that the 24-year-old had quarreled with her boyfriend and had used her credit card to take revenge for him.

Michael Crane, whose card was used for the $ 5,000 tip, told the police that he and Wolfe had a verbal argument after refusing to buy him a plane ticket to New York.

She had to talk about using her credit card because he admitted to putting his credit card on hold after their fight. However, he eventually removed the hold, allowing his girlfriend to use it to make the day of the waitress much better.

Crane claims that he reported that the $ 5,000 charge on his credit card was fraudulent, but by the time the restaurant was informed, he had already paid a generous tip to the waitress. To make matters worse, the money was particularly significant for the beneficiary who was going through a difficult period after slaughtering her dog.

According to the police affidavit, Serina Wolfe at first lied about tipping to take revenge on her boyfriend, but then confessed. She has not yet introduced a plea.

The police told the Tampa Bay Times that since the theft was reported after the tip had been paid for by the restaurant, whether or not the waitress retained the $ 5,000 tip was the responsibility of the restaurant.
