Cynthia Morrison, Minister for Gender and Social Protection
Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare Cynthia Morrison has urged women to use their resources wisely to help them reduce the costs of realizing their dreams.
She urged them to focus on realizing their dreams.
Ms. Morrison said this at the official launch of this year's Obaapa Summit in Accra.
The Obaasima Summit is an annual program designed to empower women to take on more leadership roles in their communities. It aims to encourage women to develop their capacities to create a more inclusive society.
It brought together young adults from diverse backgrounds to participate in seminars and roundtables on personal themes of professional development, capacity building and financial entrepreneurship.
In her speech at this year's launch (2019), Minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare Cynthia Morrison urged women to be cautious in using their wealth and asked to focus and work to achieve their dreams.
Resource persons, including former President John Mahama's spokesperson, Joyce Bawa Mogtari, and former Education Minister, Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, shared their experiences .
The summit was organized by MAP LEADERSHIP on the theme "Empowered for Continuity".
