Referee Theresa Bremansu
Referee Theresa Bremansu was beaten by a prison officer after her 1-0 defeat by Ampem Darkoa in the first leg of the ladies' competition semi-final.
Mavis Owusu scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute, at Sunyani's Army Park, to give the visitors a significant advantage.
After the final whistle, referee Bremansu was attacked by an alleged officer of the prison in the light of other officers and bystanders.
"I was attacked by a prison officer who wore a black top under the public eye. I screamed for help but no one came to my rescue. I called for his arrest and no one moved a finger. They all saw this man beat me. I go to the police station to denounce it, "she confirmed.
Akosua Frimpomaa, on-site media officer and ladies of Ampem Darkoa PRO, confirmed the incident.
Arbitrator Theresa Bremansu was attacked by a man that many people say to be a prison officer. He slapped the referee from behind, "she said.
"She suffered facial injuries. I write my report to the standards committee and attach photos of the incident. "
