Bernard Antwi Boasiako says Wontumi
President Akufo-Addo has been ranked the best Ghanaian president of the Fourth Republic, according to Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Wontumi, chairman of the new Ashanti regional patriotic party (NPP).
Speaking on Nhyira FM, based in Kumasi, he said the Akufo-Addo government has been doing very well in just two years.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo has fulfilled about 85% of his election promises in record time to the admiration of Ghanaians, including even opponents of the NPP.
Wontumi said the government of former president John Agyekum Kufuor was ranked second.
"The administration of President Akufo-Addo is the best government of the Fourth Republic and there is no doubt about it. He did better than his predecessors. The government has fulfilled 85% of its election promises. The famous free high school program (SHS), which our opponents have deemed impossible, is now here, "he said.
"The One District, One Factory (1D1F), the reopening of Anglogold Ashanti, NABCO and all the other major promises of the campaign were held in just two years and it's amazing. The government of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, who also introduced the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and other social intervention programs, comes in second place in the rankings, "he added.
Wontumi said that "several foreign heads of state have been to Ghana since President Akufo-Addo occupied the highest seat in the country, which is an indication of the recognition of his excellent performance ".
The president of the Ashanti region nuclear power plant said he was proud to be the president of the Ashanti region, saying that "Nana Akufo-Addo had met expectations."
