Wool Hardy Wins Second Chance on "American Idol"

The 18-year-old from Louisiana played Sam Cooke's "Bring It On Home To Me" in his Top 20 solo on Monday, earning Judge Katy Perry's huzzahs for "literal command on the stage" and Luke Bryan for have improved his voice last year.

That's right, Hardy appeared on "American Idol" in 2018 and reached Hollywood Week.

During the auditions, he accompanied a friend on guitar for his essay "American Idol". The panelists also asked him to sing a melody. Hardy obliged and won a gold ticket to Hollywood.

A few shows later, he is still there – and with good reason. Bryan congratulated him for playing "to win".
