The Walking Dead: The World Beyond Star Nico Tortorella made a coy remark about the possible appearance of Rick Grimes in Season 2 of the spinoff series. The series, which began airing in 2020, takes place ten years after the premiere of the Walking Dead zombie apocalypse and depicts the adventures of the first group of young people to grow up in a post-walker world. The show stars Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Nico Tortorella, Joe Holt, Jelani Alladin, Natalie Gold and Ted Sutherland. As their journey continues, they will uncover the devastating fate of the campus colony and face off against the mysterious military personnel of the Civic Republic, a group that is desperate for a cure for the zombie virus. Season 2 will also include the return of Pollyanna McIntosh The walking dead the character of Jadis, who was last seen saving Rick Grimes from Andrew Lincoln in Season 9 after he was left for dead.
Given that Jadis is returning and was last seen with Rick, fans have speculated that the beloved character could return in Season 2 of The walking dead: World beyond. Talk with ComicBook.com, Nico Tortorella, who plays Campus Colony of Omaha security chief Felix Carlucci, was asked if they were going to meet Rick Grimes. Their response was calculated and cautious, but with a timid wink, which implies that – although they can’t say anything just yet – it’s not necessarily a “no”. Read the full quote here:
“Rick Grimes is a fictional character, so I don’t think anyone has met him in real life. To be continued, to be continued.”
Especially given how close the season premiere is, it’s only natural for Tortorella to keep a tight lid on everything. There’s still quite a bit of time between Rick’s last appearance on The walking dead and or World beyond is currently, so everything could have happened to Jadis and Rick in the meantime. The presence of one does not necessarily indicate the presence of the other.
However, Andrew Lincoln hasn’t been on the show since 2018. It’s not impossible that he misses his old character and wants to stop. The Walking Dead: The World Beyond season 2. Maybe he sees this as a warm-up for his retaliation for the character in the upcoming Rick Grimes films, which are still in pre-production. It will be World beyondis farewell season, so it is entirely possible that they are going all out with their cameos.
