When the Usos were lost to The New Day in a Gauntlet match to prevent Kofi Kingston from qualifying for the WWE Championship, they were punished for being placed in a Fatal 4-Way match for their team titles at SmackDown at the biggest show of the year. Indeed, they faced The Bar, Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura and Aleister Black & Ricochet during tonight's evening (Sunday, April 7, 2019). The rules of a 4-way fatal team match require a team to self-mark by slapping any legal man on the back, so it was chaotic right off the bat . Moreover, simply having so many people involved ensured chaos throughout.
But it was damn fun.
Ricochet, in particular, did his best to make it special, like breaking an attempt to fall with a shooting star press. He hit the 630 late, but literally everyone broke it. There were points that it was difficult to know who the legal man was.
In the end, after a series of arrivals, it is Jimmy and Jey Uso who remain standing, having doubled the super match and the double splash of Sheamus to mark the pin to retain their titles.
