Every year in WWE, fans and superstars alike await Royal Rumble. On Sunday, January 31 at midnight, WWE switches to 11 a.m.
The event is one of the biggest nights on the wrestling calendar and this year’s edition should be filled with all the shocks, high places and returning faces that make a WWE Network membership worth the price.
Here are all the matches currently scheduled for Royal Rumble.
Match Royal Rumble for men
These days, WWE has enough elite talent to fill three Royal Rumble matches for men. Making just one means that some big names will be missing. Drew Gulak will not be involved, Ricochet will not be involved, but a selection of the biggest names in the business will be.
Thirty men will enter the ring, but only one will remain standing, having earned a spot in the main event of WrestleMania.
The big favorites for this year’s game will be big names like Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles, and while wildcards like Shinsuke Nakamura, Jey Uso and Otis will be ready to surprise a few.
The feuds will continue – expect to see Bobby Lashley and Riddle go head to head – while the New and Returning faces drop their jaws to the ground. Whatever happens, it will be a dazzling hour of sports entertainment.

Match Royal Rumble Woman
The same goes for the list of women. We’ll see a collection of the world’s most elite competitors attempt to steal the show and grab a once in a lifetime opportunity.
All eyes will be on Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Alexa Bliss, but don’t ignore the impact of those with a point to prove, like Liv Morgan, Peyton Royce and Shayna Bazler. We cannot wait for this.

Drew McIntyre (c) v Goldberg – WWE Championship
You know it’s WrestleMania season where two things happen. First off, Royal Rumble, granted. Second? Goldberg gets a title match.
In 2017, The Myth returned to the title photo, stealing the Universal Championship from Kevin Owens. Last year, Bill threw The Fiend into the ground and again won the Universal title.
This year, he set his sights on Drew McIntyre and his WWE bracelet. The Scotsman has been nearly unstoppable since winning last year’s Royal Rumble men’s game, so Goldberg will need to be at his retro best to defeat the Claymore-kicker.
It will be short and sweet, but this match is at the box office.

Roman Reigns (c) v Kevin Owens – Universal Championship
Months of back and forth between these two prizefighters should culminate in a massive Last Man Standing match.
Reigns has gotten the better of Owens every time the title is on the line, recently using his cousin Jey Uso and a low blow to hold on to TLC, but with one more shot for the gold, Owens will give it all.
Reigns doesn’t have to fight properly here, he just needs to make sure Owens finally stays down.

Sasha Banks (c) v Carmella – Smackdown Women’s Championship
A returning Carmella, fresh with a new look, new demeanor and a “special sommelier,” has taken the fight to Banks since the boss saw off her old best friend.
Despite Carmella’s attitude and confidence, Banks made the Queen of Staten Island appeal to TLC and things could be fine here.

Charlotte Flair and Asuka (c) v Nia Jax and Shayna Bazler – Women’s Tag Team Championship
Modern-day Mega Powers Charlotte Flair and Asuka won tag team bracelets late last year, ending Nia Jax and Shayna Bazler’s dominating reign at the TLC PPV. However, the ex-champions are feeling badly made, as Charlotte’s entry into this match was a surprise as the Queen has been absent from the company for several months.
Jay and Bazler were bitten for a chance at redemption and will get it this Sunday. This rematch means that three of the four contestants will do a double duty, also competing in the Royal Rumble, so it might not be the longest match on the map, but with those four athletes it could be a potential thief.
