The celebration of Kofi Kingston closes the season 'Mania & # 39;

The new WWE Champion and New Day opened the show this week to celebrate Kofi Kingston's monumental victory on Sunday, complemented by a rainbow of balloons arching over the ring. Big E started by telling everyone that Kingston had proved that he was an A + player with extra credit before performing a perfect split as he did on Monday night at Raw. Speaking of Raw, Big E then mentioned that Kingston was about to become a double champion like Becky Lynch on Monday night, but they are now at home on SmackDown. Tonight is the most important celebration and Xavier Woods said we were here to honor and celebrate Kingston's career. Woods recalled how special it was to meet Kingston for the first time, while Big E reminded everyone that New Day was created to help reshape culture – and that goal had been achieved. Kingston finally took the microphone and admitted that it was not supposed to happen, but here they are. He took a moment to highlight his family in the forefront – his wife and two sons – and thanked them for supporting him. Before he could continue, the WWE Champion was interrupted by The Bar.

Cesaro said that they were not ingested in Raw during the champion-versus-champion match, so Seth Rollins would have his title now. The bar then challenged a team match of six men later in the series. Yes, Big E pointed out how complicated their calculations were. In fact, this was not the case because they said they had a partner for the fight, in the form of a friend they met during their visit to Raw on Monday: Drew McIntyre.

The new day def. The Bar & Drew McIntyre via pinfall: The WWE champion is standing one last time this weekend in WrestleMania after being connected to Trouble in Paradise on Sheamus to win the victory. After that, Kingston invited his family to join the ring to celebrate the final show, WrestleMania 35, which ended.

It has been an absolute joy and pleasure as a fan to see Kingston shine as much as he has in the past three days. He really deserved every success, and seeing that his story really drew attention to WrestleMania, Kingston at the top of his hierarchy with his family and best friends after winning another victory, was the perfect way to close the WrestleMania season. We are now ready to see what the future holds for the new WWE Champion as Superstar Shakeup looms. Grade: A

Lacey Evans is aiming Becky Lynch again

Two-time champion Becky Lynch entered the ring and, after recalling her historic victory at the main WrestleMania event, discussed the fight with Lacey Evans on Monday night at Raw. She said that the punch with which Evans had contacted him had reminded her that the two titles that she now holds also mean that she has two targets on her back and that she will sleep with one eye open if it has to do so to engage against all newcomers. Lynch said you will meet a "red-headed devil" if you try to take away those titles.

Women's Champion Raw and SmackDown came out of the ring and climbed the ramp. Lynch posed at the top of the stage with her titles, but when she returned, she was greeted with a sucker punch from Evans. The double champion stood up while Evans watched him before finally leaving.

Maybe you agree with me, maybe not … but I love what's going on and I believe that Evans is the ideal opponent right off the bat for Lynch. Although there has been a lot of complaints about how his character has been treated up to now, Evans is not too seedy in this square circle and could have entertaining fights with the champion . It is still in its infancy, but this quarrel "The Lady" against "The Man" has potential if properly managed in the future. Grade: B +

What happened to SmackDown?

  • Mustafa Ali, Ricochet and Aleister Black def. Andrade (via pinfall) Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura: Ali won the victory for his team after beating the 054 on Andrade. After the match, Randy Orton appeared and introduced Ali to an RKO out of nowhere. Not to be outdone, Kevin Owens pbaded through the crowd and sent Rusev with a Stunner as commentators continued to push Superstar Shakeup to come next week.
  • Braun Strowman fights with Samoa Joe: R-Truth and Carmella were looking for a promo on the royal victory of the Battle of Carmella on Sunday at WrestleMania. They were interrupted by the US champion, who put Truth to sleep with the Coquina Clutch. Joe took the microphone and warned everyone about the decimation of Rey Mysterio on Sunday, and Strowman was more than prepared to take a chance on the American champion. The two men fought before Joe could get out of Powerslam's attempt and attack him from behind.
  • Women's Team Championship – The IIconics (c) def. The Brooklyn Belles (local development talents) via pinfall to keep the titles: In the wake of their victory Sunday, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce proclaimed that they would fight against champions. They introduced the Brooklyn Belles – Karissa & Kristen – and touted them as undefeated at 45-0. Of course, they had the victory in victory over Kristen to keep after Royce connected with one knee. Interestingly enough, during the match, former SmackDown General Manager Paige was looking backstage. She was interviewed after the match and revealed that she would be presenting her own "awesome" tag team next week.
  • Shane McMahon humiliates Greg Hamilton: McMahon was out with a black eye and the World Cup trophy in the ring. He said the black eye came from a punch by George Mizanin on Sunday, and that he had no choice but to defend himself. beating Miz's father. The SmackDown commissioner once again turned his attention to the announcer, Greg Hamilton, citing the idea that his introduction was not as successful as that of WrestleMania. He always made Hamilton the "best of the world" announcement, which naturally attracted CM Punk's strong songs from the Brooklyn faithful. McMahon dragged Hamilton, who had told him earlier that he was being threatened by supporters for announcing him by that nickname of "World's Best", at the top of the ramp where he finally got the # 39, introduction that he wished.
  • SmackDown Tag Team Championship – The Hardy Boyz def. The Usos (c) via pinfall to win the titles: The dream game that many expected to take place at WrestleMania took place Tuesday night, and not only was it effective, but the result may have surprised some. Matt Hardy hit the Twist of Fate on Jimmy Uso, and Jeff Hardy followed with the Swanton bomb for the championship win.
  • Lars Sullivan attacks again: Kayla Braxton was scheduled to interview the ring's new team champions, but before all can be said, Sullivan appeared and introduced the Hardy Boyz in the same way he did to Kurt Angle on his first appearance on Monday at Raw.
  • We are not worth Sami Zayn's time: Prior to the main event, Zayn had arrived on the scene where he was likely to go and recite the fans again. He paused, then simply told us all that we were not worth it and went to the back.
