Rollins and Lynch have been dating since last February, but publicly announced their love story shortly after WrestleMania 35 last May with a picture of them kissing on Instagram.
WWE then decided to capitalize on their relationship by badociating them with Extreme Rules in a Mixed Team Match that allowed them to beat Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans.
Rollins was pleased with the way they had booked, but there were some difficulties along the way.
It was difficult to include Lynch's hard and tenacious character in The Man in The Man in a romantic angle, as it seemed strange to the fans.
Another challenge was that they both made their relationship available to all and that some of the comments received were "hard enough".
Rollins said Insider on TV: "We never know how it will be, but what is the alternative?
"I have another game with Baron Corbin and she has another match with Lacey.
"What is the alternative for what we are going to do during these summer months?
"It was a great opportunity to capitalize on something that was happening in real life, and people were excited.
"When I posted this picture of her and me, announcing to the world that we were together, it was by far the most popular slippery Instagram publications.
"There was a lot of traffic in WWE content, so it made sense to show it on the screen.
"One thing we did not anticipate, is that you have the character of" The Man ", played by Becky.
"It's so different from his real character and his current state.
"Trying to mix a little romance that seemed a little strange to people at first.
"You present yourself and your relationship at the discretion of all, it is not easy.
"It's hard enough to criticize your art for yourself.
