Arsenal winger Xavier Amaechi has completed his move to Hamburg after signing a four-year contract with the German second division club.
Hamburg will pay fees in excess of € 2.5 million (plus £ 2.25 million), plus several million performance additions, while Arsenal has a sell clause but no option redemption.
The 18 year old young British international, who pbaded a medical exam on Saturday before getting his hands on a pen, will wear the jersey 17 at the Volksparkstadion.
Amaechi refused a number of prestigious contenders and an offer to extend his contract with Arsenal, who was still one year old.
He has received approaches from Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Nice, Hertha Berlin and the Championship, as well as the late interest of four Premier League teams.
